Caldicot Castle will once again echo to the sounds of medieval battle as the Early Medieval Alliance bring their end of season main event to the castle. EMA events represent the height of historical re-enactments, with full scale battles, archery demonstrations, firearms displays, contact tournaments and more! There is also a medieval market if you wish to sample the tastes and products of early Britain. Be taken back to a world that has long passed, but was crucial in shaping the country we live in.

The Early Medieval Alliance is an umbrella organisation for independent, medieval re-enactment groups, chiefly representing the period from the twelfth to the fifteenth centuries. With hundreds of years of experience, this organisation ensures that any event run under our umbrella is as authentic and entertaining as possible.
